Workshop with Kalia Loizidou

Sunday 14 July, 16:00-18:00

Exploring the stage of spoken word poetry

In our workshop, we will immerse ourselves in the magic of spoken word poetry, where language becomes the primary material. Unlike traditional poetry, here the poet takes on the role of a narrator, reciting their work before an audience. This process is more than just recitation; it's an interactive experience that incorporates elements of the performing arts.

The artist, using language, rhythm, tone, and body language, creates an artistic piece that expresses emotions, thoughts, and memories. The style can vary from serious to humorous, showcasing the richness and freedom of language. Additionally, it is often accompanied by music, enhancing the atmosphere and adding elements of drama and expression.

In our workshop, we will explore the freedom and dynamism of spoken word poetry, delving into our creativity and sharing our personal experiences through art and language. . Embark on a transformative journey into the realm of spoken word poetry with Kalia, where psychology meets artistry in the most entertaining way, for an unforgettable experience.
